Happy New Year is coming right up, and we know you want to get your annual planner all lined up. My husband starts asking for his planner pages in November already. (Yes, this paper-love gal is thrilled to report that in this family, we do paper planners!)

Well, in a minified sort of way, of course. The calendar is printer page size, so the planner boxes are only so big.
It will manage the doctor’s appointments and happy birthdays and “buy milk” sort of planning, but it’s not the “10:00 AM: muck the chicken pen and add new straw” sort of planner.
However, it’s our annual calendar planner and we’re sort of in love of it.
How the Annual Watercolor Planner Calendar happened:
Here at Kim+INK watercolor is our favorite painting medium, so that’s our go to choice for creating new art. Sometimes we buy images, but this annual planner calendar is special, so we put the time in to create our own images. Although that’s not an easy project for amateurs, we’ll get there.
This is the base art for this year’s planner:
We took the original art and scanned it to PhotoShop to play around with layers and brushes.
And have to admit that the end is better than the beginning…
What you get with the Watercolor Calendar download:
Your annual watercolor calendar download consists of a PDF file with 12 Hi-Resolution JPeg images. Each month is one 8.5″ x 11″ letter size page. One background design throughout the year, with fairly large date boxes to enter your goals, appointments, and social plans. All the main holidays are listed.
Since this is original Kim+INK work, please print only for your personal use. Of course, we’d love for you to give the link to all your friends and family. Or you can print the calendar as gifts for them. They’re sure to love that. Make it part of their Christmas gift! Tuck it into a vintage style gift bag stuffed with Holiday tissue paper. Add a handmade greeting card and a tiny essential oil diffuser, quote coffee mug and a monogram coaster set. Voila, your besties are all taken care of for Christmas!
How to Display your Annual Planner Calendar:
Here’s a list of unique ways to keep your planner pages all in a row.
- Clip the pages to a landscape style clipboard.
- Punch holes and keep in this vegan leather 3 ring binder.
- Pin to a cork board strip. It doesn’t take up as much space as a regular bulletin board, so you can attach it to the side of your fridge or above your desk.
- Upcycle a drawer front from a vintage piece of furniture, add hanger hooks and attach it to a wall. Then punch holes in the pages and place on the hooks. Shabby cottage core style!
