Be your own caterer
to save money and reduce stress.
It might have been the phone call from a young bride’s mom.
Maybe it was the dilemma they were facing that I really wished I could help with.
It could be that I get a little extreme in my enthusiasm to help bride’s have the best day ever.
Whatever it was, we thought it would be super helpful to have a Wedding Menu Planner.
We have this
Printable Wedding Planner
that is your basic Wedding Planner that places all the most important tasks on a timeline.
What to do 6 weeks (or more) ahead, what to do a month ahead, and right on down to tasks for the day-of the wedding.
To help keep you sane and getting a good night’s rest.
(Don’t forget to delegate all the tasks you can to your wedding attendants or helpful family. There’s usually a lot of people out there like me. Who get excited for any bride and love to help with stuff.)
Go here to read the list and then
you can fill in this form and ask for “Wedding Planner Portion Calculator Printable.”*
In addition to the Basic Wedding Planner we now have a Wedding Menu Planner.
If you hire a caterer you won’t need this planner, because they will know how to plan for the number of guests you have invited.
However, if you are your own caterer, our Menu Planner will help you decide how much of each dish to prep.
Wedding Menu Planner
The Wedding Menu Planner
is basically a spreadsheet for you to enter the dishes you plan to serve, the number of guests, how much to prepare per guest, and then the total amount to plan on for that dish.
The recommended amounts are the food industry standard, and could vary on the age of your crowd, the type of meal you are serving and the number of menu items. The more items on the menu, the less of each you need to prep. Except the main dishes, of course.
Also, serving family style or handing out prepared plates to each guest makes a difference. This planner assumes your assigned “food committee” are plating the food for your guests.
How to Download the Wedding Menu Planner
We have two options for you to choose from.
Option A is an actual Google spreadsheet that will do the math for you,
and
Option B is just a table where you enter your details, and haul out your own calculator to do the math. You know, if you’re not into spreadsheets and the magic they can do for you.
Because I get it. Spreadsheets are not for everyone. It’s a major learning curve if you actually learned to do math in your head, or with a pencil on paper. With a giant eraser handy, if you and math don’t play well together. Like me. That’s why I forced myself to learn spreadsheets, so the math would be correct!
So to get the printables,
you can fill in this form* and ask for “Wedding Menu Planner Option A” or “Wedding Menu Planner Option B.”
We’ll shoot the link right over to your inbox.
*(This will automatically add you to our GIFT email list, which gives you access to all our free printables, coupons and more.)
Congratulations!
First of all, on your engagement,
