The Great Exodus Lesson 1: The Promise
The Great Exodus Lesson 1:
God’s Promise to Jacob when they had to leave Canaan
was that God would be with them wherever they were.
Jacob was a patriarch in the Bible.
He was one of the great father’s of God’s People.
Jacob lived in Canaan. He had 12 sons. Jacob’s wife Leah had ten sons, and two youngest sons were born to Jacob’s wife Rachel. Jacob loved his two youngest sons the best. They were Joseph and Benjamin.
Sad things happened to Joseph, but in the end he became a ruler in Egypt.
This lesson tells about a famine in Canaan, which caused Jacob to move to Goshen, near Joseph, in Egypt.
