Thanksgiving Table Decor Ideas
Neutral Tablescape. The gray and white plaid design gives the table a pop of pattern, and the fringe details on the ends are fun too. Love Grows Wild says when she can’t find something she’s looking for or doesn’t want to spend extra money, she makes use of what she has around the house, using it in new and unusual ways.
Another plaid. I love using plaid at Thanksgiving. In fact, I have a brown/tan/taupe plaid tablecloth we got for a wedding gift that I still like to use when the table isn’t too big. This orange plaid used by On Sutton Place is stunning.
Best of all, though is the bark wrapped candles. You can imitate these by purchasing economical white pillar candles and this birch bark scrapbook paper from Hobby Lobby. Use Mod Podge to adhere it to the candles, allowing it to crinkle for a more authentic look. Several coats of Mod Podge over the paper will help the candles keep their shape, and keep the paper from burning. For safety, burn the pillar candles down about an inch, pour out the wax and insert tea lights. This extends the life and looks of the candle.
Vintage cutting boards are popular décor items, and this extra long piece is perfect for a rustic centerpiece. Keep the colors more earthy/neutral by painting the pumpkins with craft paint. The grayish green of seeded eucalyptus twined in and around the pumpkins is beautiful. One Kind Design finished off the style with candles in vintage mason jars.
Wheat is a natural, easily obtained element to incorporate in a fall tablescape. To create this sophisticated look by Uncommon Designs, check out this Wheat Sheaf tutorial.
This cute idea by Simply Happenstance takes a little money and effort, but after the holiday you can transplant the succulents into different pots to keep them up to date with the rest of your house.
I don’t know where Celebrations at Home is situated, but they must be in a place with warm Novembers. Although not everyone could have their dinner outdoors, the layered runners and large bottles for vases would work well indoors, also.
We love this napkin ring idea for Thanksgiving. Paint It Pink glued dried orange, Clementine and kumquat slices with the wheat and dried baby’s breath, then tied it altogether with twine. This would not only be economical and simple to create, but the smells would be divine.
