God’s Bottle Handmade Embellished Sympathy Card

But, God said He collects our tears in His bottle.  He knows our sorrows.  He keeps a record of them in His book.  (Psalm 56:8)

In Bible times middle eastern countries had a tradition to collect tears. All of the people present when someone died saved their tears and then they would all be stored in a bottle. This bottle represented sorrow and was also buried with the deceased. Many of these bottles have been found in ancient tombs. In some war stories, women cried into tear bottles and then saved them until their husbands returned. Their collected tears showed their men how much they were loved and missed.

God’s Bottle Sympathy Card Details

CARD: 5″x7″ pearlized white card with a side fold.

CARD FRONT: Front printed with a beautiful vintage bottle design, with a circle cut out. Clear cellophane lines the circle cut out. Sequins enclosed between the cellophane layers resemble tears. Pearl “tears” fall into the bottle.

FRONT MESSAGE: You can read the message “You collected all my tears in your bottle” through the clear cellophane window.

CARD INSIDE: Soft blue paper lines the inside of the card. Inspirational poem printed on the left, and then the above message printed on the right side. Then the rest of the area remains blank for your sentiment of sympathy.

ENVELOPE: Smooth white cotton envelope with soft blue printed liner.
