Chosen By God is a 40 page book with 10 Bible Lessons for young children. This book includes stories about men, women and children of the Bible who were chosen by God to do His work. They were strong and obedient in that calling. Some of the characters included in this book are Noah, Daniel, Ruth, and Moses.

Recommended ages for this book are 6 to 8. The lessons are very understandable and very easy to teach. Each story includes a memory verse, glue-on picture, picture to color, and a simple craft project for the child, all components cut and ready for them to put together without a lot of preparation.

Chosen By God Children’s Bible Lessons
First 5 Stories

1. NOAH. God asked Noah to build an ark, even though it wasn’t raining. It took many years to build it, and all the people thought he was ridiculous. But Noah kept right on building, because God had asked him to save his family and all the animals.
   The craft: A letter size page with water and sky. Students attach 4 stickers of animal pairs to the background, then glue an ark above them. The ark’s windows open to see the animals.
2. JONAH. Jonah ran away when God asked him to go preach at Nineveh. God prepared the big fish to swallow Jonah so he would reconsider his decision.
   The craft: A letter size background with water and bubbles. Jonah gets glued to 2 strips and placed on the background. A whale oval is glued above Jonah, so the ends open to pull Jonah in and out of the whale.
3. DAVID. A brave boy who was willing to fight a giant so God’s people could win the war against the Philistines.
   The craft: Felt pouch with punched holes to string plastic lacing through. A memory verse card is attached to the pouch with brads.
4. NAAMAN’S WIFE’S SERVANT GIRL. The little girl who knew that Naaman could be healed of his leprosy when he went to visit God’s prophet, Elisha.
   The craft:  A basket the child folds up and glues together and then fills with paper flowers they assemble and attach to green pipe cleaners. The take away is “Be Kind.” Taking flowers to someone who is sad or sick is a kind gift
5. RUTH. A girl who chooses to go with her mother-in-law so she can continue to serve God.
   The Craft: A wheat sheaf cone with holes so that real wheat stems can be inserted.

   
   Second 5 Stories

6. DANIEL. The man who refused to stop praying to his God, even when it was against the law.
   The Craft: A letter size background to fold up into a den, with Daniel, Lion and Lioness paper dolls.
7. ESTHER.  The orphan girl who was in the right place at the right time. She was brave enough to approach the king to ask him to save her people, when he didn’t even know that she was one of the people he had vowed to kill.
   The Craft: A crown with gems to glue on.
8. SAMUEL.  The little boy who lived in a temple. Then God called him and he said, “Here am I.”
   The Craft: A red “door” card with God’s hands knocking at the door, with a mirror heart on the inside. You open the door so that God can come in to your heart.
9. MOSES.  The baby who was hidden in the river and grew up to be a prince. Until God asked him to save His people.
   The Craft: A cut out that looks like a woven basket when it is glued together. A wood oval to glue Baby Moses on, and a soft blanket to wrap him in and put him in the basket.
10. THE WISEMEN.  The Christmas Story, with the Wisemen obediently following the star.
    The Craft: Small silver stars, a larger glow-in-the-dark star and a Memory Verse card with the outline of Bethlehem, with all glued onto a black door hanger.
