Pork Tenderloin Sliders Marinade Recipe
These pork tenderloin sliders were a hit with the Church Youth Group!
So I think the world should know my husband’s genius marinade recipe.
You know those perfect spring evenings on the patio when the weather is just right, there’s no wind… and the company is fine?
Plus, with extra serendipity (don’t you love that word? I’ve been waiting forever to use it.), the menu turns out to be just as amazing as the weather?
We had one of those last week.
My husband and I supplied the entree and the beverages. The youth group from our Church brought the rest.
They had been to a retirement home that evening to sing for their older friends, and worked up good appetites and better moods.
It was noisy with stories and laughter and the food vanished like teens can vanish food. Like when our sons were that age and had friends over.
Pork Tenderloin Sliders Menu
So as I said, we supplied the entree. In complete honesty, my only part was planning the menu and putting the sliders together. My husband bought pork tenderloin, sliced, marinated, and grilled it.
After grilling, we sliced slider buns, and layered them with cheese (pepper jack, cheddar, muenster) and grilled meat. Wrapped it all in foil and heated the packets in the oven for 15 minutes till the cheeses were melting and oozy. Then we served the sliders with BBQ sauce on the side, along side the potato salad and fruit salad the young people brought.
The sliders ended up a hit with the teens so I thought I’d share my husband’s genius marinade. I can’t promise that yours will turn out as yummy (because he’s my King-of-the-Grill), but I’ll give you a head start.

Grilling Hints for Pork Tenderloin
You’re probably wondering what makes my husband King-of-the-Grill.
Do you know the main secret? Don’t be afraid of a smoking grill. Just keep a cup or spritzer of water near by. I don’t know how he does it, but I’m lurking at the window with my phone ready to call 911, and then he calmly walks in with a roaster full of smokey, juicy goodness that a fireman would show up for any day, fire or not.
He also has a magic meat thermometer, which I’m convinced is more toy than tool. I mean, it looks like a superman laser that you’d use to zap someone into submission! But, no, what it does is tell him the inner temperature of the meat sizzling on the grill, and that’s how he knows the moment to flip the meat off the fire.
Look for links (in gold) to some of my husband’s favorite tools. If you happen to buy something for your grilling king, I might get a few pennies to buy some more pork tenderloin.
My husband does not wear a grilling apron, but I plan to fix that shortly. I think he would look so chef-tastic with an apron. Does your chief griller wear an apron? Is it cool or loser-ish? I just want to know how much peer pressure I can apply.
