Personalized Nursery Art DIY With Artiqo Paint Pens
We made this Personalized Nursery Art DIY for our littlest g’little. With Artiqo paint pens, our latest fun painting tool.
Awhile ago, Artiqo asked if we wanted to try their permanent paint pens,
and of course we said yes!
What could ever be not to love about trying new things?
And to tell you the truth, I knew before I even tried them that I’d find a zillion things to make with them.
Because, people, they paint on metal, glass, wood…
name a surface, and they probably work on it.
So today, we’re making Nursery floating frame art for our littlest g’little.
Personalized Nursery Art with Artiqo Paint Pens
Supplies:
- Any frame with glass or acrylic, like this one. We upcycled a frame from some art in our storage room stash. Clean the glass thoroughly.
- Artiqo paint pens.
- Printed name in the font and size you like best. We’re using Modernline and Abadi Extra Light fonts. We designed the lettering in Microsoft Publisher, but you can use Canva or Photo Shop, or any program you’re used to.
Directions:
- Print out the personalization and tape to the back of the glass or acrylic of your chosen frame.
- Grab an Artiqo paint pen, shake it up, and trace the letters on top of the glass.
- Hang and admire!
Notes:
- Be sure to read the directions for the pens. These are permanent paints, so protect surfaces appropriately. Before using, shake the pens well, listening for the ball in the paint. Press the tip of the pen on your surface, or scrap paper, until the nib fills with paint. When the nib runs low on paint press it in to get the paint running again.
- While painting the letters on glass, my hand was super shaky, so it was hard to get straight lines. You likely won’t have that problem. It worked best for me to make light passes along the lines of the letters, then fill in between the lines I created. If you go over the same area too soon, the fresh wet paint will lift the paint already on the glass. But if you wait a few minutes, even just ten, it works to go back and fix crooked lines.
- I removed the pattern to make the final touches to the lines of the letters. And where I messed up, I took an Exacto knife and scraped the paint off the glass. The beauty of working on glass, not acrylic. You wouldn’t be able to use a razor on acrylic because it would scratch it.
- Place a paper towel under your hand if you rest it on the glass. You don’t want oils from your skin on the glass to keep the paint from adhering well.
Could any art be simpler than that?
And more satisfying to create?
Yep.
We love Artiqo paint pens, and they’re not paying us to say that!

We think it’s important for your child to see their presence as part of your family.
As your child grows up and hears stories of childhood and sees evidence that their name is precious to you, he/she will feel loved and validated.
The child psychologist Dr. Kenneth Condrell says it this way, “Children love to go back and see themselves as babies and toddlers and how important they were to everybody. It helps develop a memory bank and an identity as a family member.”
