Parents Valentine Keepsake Craft Printable
Today’s project is a combination of both a Valentine and a keepsake project.
Working with school age children will be a little simpler than with babies and toddlers. But do take precautions with their clothing. It may be good to communicate with the parents that their children will be painting. They can choose to have them dress accordingly, or you can cover them with paint smocks/aprons/garbage bags.
What You Need:
- Download the printable by filling in this form and requesting “Parents Valentine Keepsake Background.”
- Print a copy for each participant.
- Desk/work surface cover.
- Acrylic, washable paint in color of choice.
- Wood heart cut out, heart button, or paper heart.
- Paper towels, wet ones, other clean up products.
- 8″ x 10″ frame if you plan to frame the projects. We like these frames.
Directions:
- Follow the detailed directions in this post for painting the handprints.
- After the handprints are dry, glue the heart ornament (button, wood piece, charm, etc.) between the prints.
- When the page is set and dry, frame it if you wish.
You can never have too much keepsake art of your precious littles.
Am I right?
Actually, some of us might disagree, and that’s okay. One great piece is enough for me. But my mother-in-law… She loved it all. Bronzed baby shoes. Clay handprint sculptures. Complete baby books, with all the pages filled.
Where are you in this extreme? One or ten ways to keep your child’s handprints?
