Pantry Cheat Sheet (Keep Kitchen Basics for Economical Cooking)
A new freebie: A Pantry Cheat Sheet, to help keep those kitchen basics stocked so you can practice economical cooking.
If you need this, come sit by us. We know how it feels to have bean and cheese quesadillas meal after meal because there’s nothing else in the pantry or freezer.
So we looked around our pantry and pantry staples lists other great cooks have made, and we came up with our very own list that works for us.
Our list makes it easier to keep kitchen basics on hand for quick, easy cooking.
And the best part?
You can have it FREE in the design matching your *Kim&ink Recipe Album*. This is for our email family only, so ya know what ya gotta do! Use the form below to sign up today!
Why have a Pantry Cheat Sheet?
A pantry cheat sheet is helpful in the kitchen for many reasons:
- Organization: It helps keep your pantry organized by categorizing items and you can easily give everything a designated place. This reduces clutter and makes it easier to maintain a tidy kitchen.
- Inventory Management: A cheat sheet can help you keep track of what you have in stock and what you need to buy. This prevents buying too much of one thing and forgetting to purchase something else, so you have a more efficient grocery shopping experience. (Unless your store is undergoing renovations; then forget being efficient!)
- Meal Planning: With a clear overview of your pantry, you can plan meals more effectively. Knowing what ingredients you have on hand makes it easier to decide what to cook and reduces the need for last-minute trips to the store.
- Reduces Waste: By keeping track of your pantry items and using them before they expire, a cheat sheet helps minimize food waste. You’ll be more aware of what needs to be used up soon.
- Streamlines Cooking: When you know exactly where everything is, you can focus more on the cooking process rather than searching for ingredients. This makes cooking more enjoyable and less stressful.
- Encourages Creativity: A well-organized pantry can inspire you to try new recipes or create impromptu dishes based on the ingredients you have. Seeing everything laid out just might spark culinary creativity.
In essence, a pantry cheat sheet brings more order and control to your kitchen, making cooking time smooth and stress free.
What our Pantry Cheat Sheet looks like.
The image below is the first page of our Pantry Cheat Sheet, shown in the Geo Succulent Recipe Album design. The items listed are the dry goods that do not need refrigerating. These are items we use, but you may want to add more supplies. We don’t show extra lines, but our download will have room for adding your individual staples.
Here’s the second page of our basic list, in the Geo Roses kitchen design.
Place your pages back to back in a vinyl protective sleeve. Keep it in your recipe album ready for making your shopping list anytime. Or cover the prints with clear contact paper or, if you have this machine and some laminator sheets, seal them in vinyl. Then hang or tape them right to your pantry wall or cupboard door.
