Meet Us At The Lamppost Planner Series for Women
Do you remember the lamppost in Narnia?
When Lucy stepped through the wardrobe into that snowy wood, the first thing she saw was impossible: a Victorian street lamp glowing alone in the forest, marking the threshold between worlds.
It wasn’t just a landmark.
The lamppost became their gathering place—where Lucy and her siblings would pause before stepping back through the wardrobe. A moment to quiet their hearts. To prepare their minds. To remember that the wonder they found in Narnia could travel back with them into ordinary life.
The light didn’t just guide them home. It reminded them: the magic you found here doesn’t have to stay here.
Why We Need a Gathering Place
I need to tell you what we’re really building here.
Kim’s social life is quite limited by her autism and anxiety. The gatherings that come naturally to others—coffee dates, book clubs, casual brunches—are often overwhelming for her. But she craves connection. Community. A place where she belongs.
So we’re creating one.
Parenting a neurodivergent child can feel profoundly isolating. So can recovering from burnout. So can being the square peg who doesn’t fit the round holes everyone else seems to slide into so easily.
And that isolation? That’s exactly why we created Meet Us at the Lamppost.
Not just as a planner. As a monthly gathering place for women who need to know they’re not walking this road alone.
The Meet Us at the Lamppost slow living devotional planner is inspired by that Narnian gathering place—the landmark where travelers pause, recognize each other, and remember they’re not alone on the journey. It’s a community of women walking each other “home” through the slower, gentler path.
But we need to be clear about what we mean by “home.”
What We Mean by Rest
Rest doesn’t mean doing nothing.
Rest means a quiet mind at peace with God and man. It means making choices by listening to God first, because He understands your limits and priorities better than any productivity system ever could.
This isn’t about chaos or avoiding responsibility. It’s about God-led practical thinking. When you plan from a place of rest, you’re not just reacting to demands or drowning in obligations. You’re discerning what God is actually asking of you, and what He’s not.
The lamppost represents that gathering place where we pause, quiet our minds, and listen before we move. Then we walk forward with clarity, not confusion. With peace, not panic.
If you’ve read our story about the pink bear and learning to live slower, you know Kim taught us that different isn’t something to fix. And when we stopped trying to make our family fit the world’s timeline and started asking God what our timeline should be, everything changed.
We learned to listen for His voice above the noise. To ask Him what our limits are. What our priorities should be. What He’s actually calling us to in this season.
That’s what the slow living devotional planner is built to help you do.
How the Lamppost Came to Be
In The Magician’s Nephew (which tells Narnia’s origin story), we learn how the lamppost came to be there—it grew from a piece of a London lamppost that was brought into Narnia at its creation. Something ordinary became something magical simply by being planted in new soil, given time to grow.
That’s what we’re hoping happens here.
Your ordinary moments: the breakfast table chaos, the bedtime struggles, the quiet afternoon when you finally admitted you’re tired, these aren’t just the background noise of your life. They’re the seeds of something beautiful when we share them together, give them space to grow, let them become light for someone else walking a similar path.
But only if we’re willing to pause. To quiet our minds. To ask God what He’s growing in the midst of what looks ordinary.
Women Walking Each Other Home
This phrase has become our heartbeat for the slow living devotional planner series.
Because here’s what we’ve learned: We were never meant to do this alone.
Not the hard seasons. Not the gentle ones. And not the messy middle where you’re trying to figure out if it’s okay to say no to good things so you can say yes to what God is actually asking of you.
Each month in this planner, we’re gathering at the lamppost together. You’re not just buying a planning system; you’re joining a rhythm. A community of women who are choosing to listen to God over the noise of hustle culture. Who are seeking peace with Him first, so we can live at peace with ourselves and others.
We send out each month’s planner knowing you’ll meet us there. And we trust that when we pause together, quiet our minds together, and listen together. God will give us the light we need for the next step, even when we can’t see the whole year ahead.
We also learned something else: we needed other people who understood.
Not people to fix us. Not experts with all the answers. Just other women who would meet us at the lamppost and say, “I see you. You’re not alone. Let’s ask God what He wants us to do next—and then walk each other home.”
Why Monthly (Not All at Once)
You might wonder why we don’t just give you all 12 months upfront.
Here’s why: Because living gently means receiving what you need when you need it. And because hearing God clearly requires presence, not overwhelm.
A January planner in January feels like fresh bread—God’s provision for this moment. A January planner in July, when you’re already deep into summer’s rhythm, feels like another thing you should have done six months ago.
We release each month as it arrives because listening to God happens in real time, not in bulk downloads you’ll get to eventually.
Just like Lucy and her siblings returned to the lamppost month after month, season after season, throughout their years in Narnia. It was always there when they needed it, always offering the same steady light. Always inviting them to pause and remember before they moved forward.
Monthly delivery also means:
- You’re not overwhelmed by a massive file you don’t know where to start
- Each month feels like a new invitation to pause and listen, not a continuation of something you’re already behind on
- The themes match the actual season you’re living in—and the questions God might be asking you right now
- You can adjust, skip a month, or change designs without feeling locked into something that’s not serving you
Some families need January. Some need to start in July. Perhaps some need to skip March entirely because life happened and God is asking them to focus elsewhere. And all of that is allowed at the lamppost.
God meets us where we are. The slow living devotional planner does the same.
How This Works
January 2026: We write for you:
31 days of permission-based devotionals around the theme “Beginning anew, slower.” Daily reflections, menu planning pages, space to breathe.
Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll find:
“You don’t have to arrive at this new year fixed, healed, or with everything figured out. You’re allowed to begin exactly as you are, recovering, resting, still becoming.
Maybe you’re recovering from a hard season of parenting. From grief that changed everything. From the relentless pressure to do more, be more, achieve more. Or from believing your worth was measured by your productivity.
Whatever you’re recovering from, you don’t have to have recovered yet. This is permission to begin in the middle of still healing.”
February-December 2026:
Each month brings a new gentle theme—not a goal to achieve, but an invitation to explore together:
- January: “Beginning anew, slower”
- February: “When love comes in peace”
- (Additional months throughout the year)
We’re still writing the themes for the rest of 2026. But we know they’ll follow this same pattern: invitations, not demands. Permission, not pressure. And here’s what makes this truly different: We want YOUR stories too. Your permissions. Your moments of choosing softer. These become part of the conversation, because the lamppost isn’t just where we gather. It’s where we recognize each other’s stories.
Two Designs, Same Gentle Journey

When we designed the slow living devotional planner, we knew some of you would breathe easier in clean lines and quiet spaces. Others would find home in watercolor warmth and cottagecore comfort.
The Calm Edition features elegant botanical designs with minimalist aesthetics—for hearts that need less visual noise and more breathing room.
The Cozy Edition wraps the same content in watercolor lamppost scenes and softer textures—for souls who find peace in gentle details.
Same devotionals inside; same meal planners; same permission slips. Same Scripture; same heart; same community.
You’re not choosing the “right” one. You’re choosing the one that feels like home.
(And if you change your mind next month? That’s allowed too.)
What Makes This Different from Every Other Planner

This planner grew directly from the values we wrote about in our Permission to Live Slower story—the same principles that transformed our family when we stopped trying to fit the world’s timeline and started honoring our own.
But it’s also different because it’s built for community, not just productivity.
Here’s what that looks like:
It’s Permission-Based, Not Productivity-Driven
Every page assumes you might need permission to do less, not strategies to do more. The prompts aren’t “How can you be more productive today?” They’re “What if this is already enough?”
It’s Every Day Sabbath Mindset Living
We don’t treat rest as a reward you earn after achieving enough. Rest comes first. The planning flows from that inner peace, not toward it.
It Includes Weekly Time and Meal Planning (Because Peace Is Practical)

Spiritual peace matters. So does not staring at the fridge at 5:47pm wondering what’s for dinner. We include weekly meal planners and grocery lists because gentle living happens in kitchens, not just quiet times.
Connection around our kitchen table has always mattered more than our to-do lists. This planner protects that.
It’s Neurodivergent-Friendly
We built this for families like ours who need structure without rigidity. Routine without shame when the routine breaks. Clear sections without overwhelming choice paralysis.
If your brain works differently, if you’ve never found a planner that actually fits how you think, this might be the lamppost you’ve been looking for.
It Assumes You’ll Be Imperfect
Miss a day? Skip a week? Forget to meal plan and order pizza again?
Good. You’re human. The slow living devotional planner will be here when you come back.
There’s no “starting over on Monday” energy here. Just “welcome back to the lamppost” whenever you return.
It’s Built for Belonging
This isn’t a solo journey. When you use this planner, you’re part of a community of women choosing the slower path together. You’re not alone in your struggle to say no. You’re not alone in your recovery from hustle culture. You’re not alone in needing permission to rest.
The lamppost is a gathering place. And you belong here.

Who This Is For
This slow living devotional planner is for you if:
- You’re parenting a neurodivergent child and the isolation is real
- You’re tired of productivity culture invading even your spiritual life
- You’ve tried “self-care” and it just became another thing on the to-do list
- You’re a mom (or grandmother) who wants to model gentle rhythms for your family
- You’re recovering from burnout and need permission to rest without guilt
- You’re a Christian who loves Jesus but doesn’t love the “hustle harder for the Kingdom” messaging
- You want a planner that includes both Scripture and grocery lists, because faith is lived in real kitchens with real families
- You feel alone in your journey and need to know someone understands
- You’re a square-peg family trying to navigate a round-hole world
You don’t have to be a mom. You don’t have to be neurodivergent. And you don’t have to be drowning.
You just have to be tired of walking this road alone.

The Lamppost Is Lit

We can’t promise this planner will transform your life or fix your overwhelm or make you a morning person who journals with perfect handwriting.
What we can promise is this:
Each month, we’ll meet you at the lamppost. We’ll offer you light for the next step—not the whole journey, just the next step. We’ll create space for you to quiet your mind, listen to God, and make choices from peace instead of pressure.
And we’ll remind you that a quiet mind at peace with God and man is worth more than a perfectly executed productivity system. And that when you start from that place of rest… that place of listening… God shows you what actually matters and gives you the strength to do it.
We’ll walk you home. One month at a time. One gentle invitation to pause and listen at a time.
And you won’t walk alone.
Just like the lamppost in Narnia wasn’t about the lamp itself—it was about the gathering, the recognition, the knowing you weren’t the only one making this journey—this planner is about so much more than pages and prompts.
It’s about finding your people. Your place. Your light in the winter darkness.
It’s about learning together what it means to have a quiet mind at peace with God and man, and making every choice from that sacred place.
The lamppost is lit.
There’s space here for you, exactly as you are.
And we’re so glad you found your way here.
Ready to join us?
The light is warm, and we’re saving you a spot.
