How To Make A Bakery Box To Gift Homemade Treats
Have some homemade treats you want to gift but don’t have a bakery box? This pattern and two pieces of scrapbook paper is all you need to create a lovely presentation.
The nicest thing happened yesterday. You may or may not know we live in snowbird country. This year quite a few friends and acquaintances from around the Americas have escaped their ice and sleet to park their RVs and open up their winter homes in our neighboring cities.
This includes one of my 6 sisters, and one of my 3 brothers. And a best friend from High School days. And a fellow hospital worker from the days I was a dietary clerk.
I could go on. So many wonderful people flock into our community and our Church and into our lives and make it fun and different from any other place you could live.
Anyway, so yesterday was their morning coffee time at 9:30 am at Panera. They do it every week. This time I joined them. As we were gathered around pulled-together tables, chattering (is that a word?) and laughing and even wiping some sympathetic tears, a Panera employee walked up to our group with a platter of scones. A whole platter! Stacked with blueberry scone wedges on one end, and orange glazed scone wedges on the other.
Isn’t that the nicest way to begin a day?
So, today, just in case you want to warm someone’s heart with a plate or basket or pretty bakery box of something, bake a pan of scones…
And if you need a pattern for making a pretty bakery box, upload this Bakery Box pattern onto your cutting machine.
Or purchase these boxes, or for a platter, these doilies, to make a lovely presentation to lift someone’s day.
Make A Bakery Box
Supplies:
- 12″ x 12″ cardstock (we used white; you can use designs from a scrapbook tablet to dress up your box if you wish)
- SVG for 8″ Bakery Box
- Cutting machine such as Cricut
- Clear 3 mil cellophane (HINT: always save the clear protector sheets from your cutting machine mats when you throw an old mat away. They come in handy for all kinds of projects; including these bakery boxes. Saves buying cellophane!)
