Kitchen Fall Cleaning Checklist: The Master Printable
Kitchen Fall Cleaning Checklist:
the printable that will be your
master deep cleaning schedule from now on.
Are you a spring cleaner or a fall cleaner? Or both spring and fall, like our grandmas used to be?
Or maybe you deep clean your house throughout the year, one room a month. When you get the last room shipshape, you start over again.
Living in the desert, with summer monsoons blowing real estate around in huge clouds, it seems better to fall clean instead of in the spring. I imagine spring cleaning was a thing long ago because they had to wait for nice weather to haul the carpets out for deep cleaning, and replace the straw in the mattresses and those sorts of things.
Cleaning today is so much easier that less and less time is needed to keep a clean house.
Although I read that a police officer said houses are much more dirty and cluttered today than when he first started his career 20 years ago. I often feel dread at the thought of someone having to enter my home while we’re on a trip and finding a mess.
And that really happened to us one Thanksgiving. We were gone to see our second son, having a great time. My husband’s clan at home was chowing their lovely meal when Kim called. She’d noticed that rain caused the ceiling to collapse in our guest bedroom! All the men came over and cleaned up the wet drywall and yucky fallen insulation. They emptied the room of furniture, stashing it all in our other spare bedroom. It’s never a good feeling knowing someone is traipsing through your house when you’re not home. Although I’d gladly do the same if someone else had an emergency. (And it was awesome to be taken care of that way. Can you even if it stayed that way till we got home?)
Kitchen Fall Cleaning Checklist
Just thinking right now about people coming into my home makes me want to jump up and start purging and cleaning.
That’s when the “Kitchen Fall Cleaning Checklist” makes itself to the counter top. Along with the best cleaning supplies and buckets and micro-fiber cloths. And the best ever polish cloths.
I’ve heard that starting with the kitchen makes the whole house feel clean. It’s the room that is used the most, so it’s likely the room that attracts the most dirt.
I like ticking off a checklist when I deep clean, so I can feel all sorted out and noble. 🙂
If that’s you also, feel free to download and print our list for your Home Organizer Binder, too.
