Random Sketches and Scribbles
About pure linen, the glittles miracle school, and a sneak peek at new boho designs.
We Love Linen
This week we shared our enthusiasm for another organic source of paper.
And other fine household products we all need.
Pure Flax Linen
We use a lot of 100% cotton paper in our shop. Handmade cotton rag papers. Cotton watercolor paper.
Another beautiful option for organic paper is linen.
It’s harder to get than cotton paper, but so elegant and classy.
Or boho, if the flax fibers aren’t totally eliminated in the process of paper making.
Flax is fascinating.
We think you’ll agree if you read the posts from this week.

Inspiring Inklings of Real Life
The Glittles Go Back To School
School enrollment happened yesterday evening.
And, since our glittles go to our little Church Private School, it happens a little bit differently than at public schools.
The whole Church family goes, because when you have a tiny school
supported entirely by a small congregation
they need all the support they can get.
So everyone shows up and pitches in.
And the reason it’s worth writing about?
Because it’s truly amazing how showing up and pitching in
makes a difference for 16 children.
It defies explanation. It doesn’t pencil out.
The costs of paying regular public school taxes,
then donating money to fund a school supported entirely by those donations.
Teacher salaries, classrooms, curriculum, playground. All of it.
Only God can feed 5000 with 2 loaves and 5 small fishes.
Only God can run a successful school on small sacrifices.
And we are so grateful for the safe, loving learning environment our glittles get to enjoy.
Favorite Chuckle this week:
Exercise gives you energy.
But you need energy to exercise.
Sounds like a pyramid scheme to me.
(Borrowed from our family chat.)
