about Hollywood Christmas Programs, Miss Future Farmerette, and how to be a Wiseman.
The last two nights I’ve awoke at 3:30 and thought it was time to get up.
I was pumped and ready to flow at full gpm. (I think that’s gallons per minute.)
Anyway, who in their right mind gets up at 3:30?
No one. That’s why I got up in my other mind. The crazy mind. But it didn’t last. It’s too lonely and dark and full of things that go bump in the night. I drank a glass of milk and went back to bed. And wished I’d brushed my teeth after the milk. Until I fell asleep.
And slept till 9:00 am. That’s practically a sin when I have so many fun things to do, like this blog post…
If anyone knows the secret to sleeping all night, close to Christmas, please share.

DIY Wedding Planning Journal From a Composition Book. This was sort of a fail. I didn’t really like the way it turned out and will likely play with it before I gift it.
Baby’s Personalized Christmas Gift Printable From Kimenink. Another fail? Not one person asked for these. Sorry. Tell me how to improve the technique…
18 of the Best Holiday Dips for Sweet or Salty. Sigh. I wish I could say my Buffalo Ranch dip was The Best, but it got dry and curdly because I was so anxious to have it ready that I baked it too long. But it was good. I recommend it. I did get comments on my innovative chip and dip serving set up. My cast iron pot with dip set into a metal frame from my decorative bowl stash, and then in a huge spatter-ware bowl, with chips all around. I believe someone said it looked “interesting.” That’s surely a compliment.
How To Make Our White Scandinavian Christmas Village. This is seriously the most fun ever. All the kindergarten gluing and shaping of paper.
The Great Exodus Lesson 4: The Pharaoh Says “Go!”. Another lesson for The Exodus series, free to download and print. If you’re a GIFTee. Or sign up to our “Lesson Box a Month” and we send you all the components.

Happy New Year 2022!
We’re looking forward to introducing our new stationery designs for Winter 2022!
Kim says we’re going to make several composition book-journal designs. We’ve been working on a couple so far. They involve fringes and wooden beads and macramé cord. And a bunch of other ephemera. When my office is company-ready, I like to have one of these displayed beside the computer. As if that’s how I roll.
We’re going to be having a New Year planner printable, coming the last week of this month. Mr. Kimenink starts his new appointment book in October already, so I’m sorry if you’re that type of planner. I guess this planner will be for people like me, who sometimes write stuff down after it happens. More diary than planner, maybe.

Inspiring Inklings of Real Life
The World Outside Our Work Window
So I got a phone call yesterday.
It was my Little Farm by the River son. He talked awhile, and then he said, “What will you do if we say we can’t come for Christmas?”
I said, “I’ll cry awhile, then pull up my socks and carry on.”
I think Little Miss Future Farmerette is making her mom miserable already, not even 7 months into her life. Her Dad said if they tried to drive the 21 hours to our place they would all be crazy when they got here. That bad. What a stir an unborn baby can present. But we want her more than we want them to come for Christmas,
so we’ll have to think of Plan B.
Anyone have any ideas?
I told a friend yesterday that I didn’t know why I should finish my Christmas preparations, and she said I needed it for me, too, not just my company. Okay. Let’s see what I’m preparing for…
Smirk:
“I can’t believe it’s Omicron season already.
I still have my Delta decorations up.”
Books of the week:
No books this week… just inspiring Christmas programs. Ahhh, the 10 words my grandson said on his school’s program were Hollywood worthy. In my humble opinion. And the girl g’littles. So precious. But, wait a minute. My oldest g’little is already in the “upper grades?”
