New Exciting Designs
Our theme for our new spring designs is “Secret Garden.” We’ve got some of the baby items in the shop already, but when we’ve got the whole line ready, we’ll show it all here. We plan to start selling this line February 15, and go into the summer with it. Because who doesn’t want a secret garden?
Think Monet paintings with their wonderful florals and greenery. Water and swans. Baby fairies. On baby stationery, shower planners and First Year calendars. Wedding invitations, shower planners and invitations. The garden is taking over!

Inspiring Inklings of Real Life
The World Outside Our Work Window
Not a lot happened outside (or even in) our work window this week. We were well, and working, but it was just one of those weeks. It sort of passed in a blur, with getting ready for our BIL’s wedding and my family’s reunion and a week of Church meetings starting tomorrow. The Church meetings will trump everything else. Our hearts have been occupied with thoughts of Spirit, preparation and “white as snow” cleansing. And next week, we’ll be hearing stirring messages every evening to get ready for our once-a-year communion service. Cleansed hearts are a priority all year, but never as much as the week of in-depth preparation for communion with our Church family.
How was your week?
We would so love to hear personally from you all.

Me: I don’t know.
G’little: You put a little bo0gie in it.
Me: Eww!
Books of the week:
“From the Ashes“*
by
There must be so many stories like this in America. Too many. Like the fictional little girl I paint over and over, whose story is imprinted indelibly in my heart. Whom I pray for every time I paint her. Jesse’s story is painful, sad, then finally, triumphant. Thanks, Michele, for the recommendation.
Amazon:
“This #1 internationally bestselling and award-winning memoir about overcoming trauma, prejudice, and addiction by a Métis-Cree author as he struggles to find a way back to himself and his Indigenous culture is “an illuminating, inside account of homelessness, a study of survival and freedom” (Amanda Lindhout, bestselling coauthor of A House in the Sky).”

“Sia-lee-lee, A Story Coloring Book“
by moi, circa 2000
The adult book recommendation reminded me of this so-far unpublished coloring book I made for my niece and nephews. To give them a sense of the place where their mother grew up. When I showed it to their aunt, she said, “How did you know so much about my story?” I didn’t. The story is purely fictional, based on what I observed and heard during my time as a volunteer at Hogan Hozhoni. The coloring book’s story/pictures are an amalgamation of the little Navajo children who entered my heart long ago and never left.
Amazon doesn’t know about my little Navajo children…
