‘Ink Re-cap 117 and Inspiring Inklings for the Weekend
‘Ink Re-cap 117 of a fast and stormy week.
Stormy weather, stormy feelings.
Yet ending it with inspiring inklings
for your weekend, and ours!
This last month I’ve been part of a Mastermind group on blogging
and best practices and rules and regulations
and being amazing while doing it all.
Guess what the result was for me?
Unfortunately, as I write this,
it makes me feel very unamazing.
The thing I want to say is, I need to learn so much from others,
but I can’t let it discourage me if/when I find out I’ve been doing so much the wrong way.
Do you ever feel unamazing?
I hope not.
Because it’s not a good feeling, and it makes me want to hunker down into a corner,
and not share even the little tiny speck of good I can.
And I don’t want you to do that.
Keep sharing yourself, your goodness, your kindness,
and always remember, you matter.
And as our last post reminds us all, our voices (opinions) matter.
Now that that’s off my mind,
let’s

January February Wedding Colors Trending Now
What do you call the Winter Wedding Season after January 1?
Because it needs it’s own name.
November and December are winter, but tend to incorporate Christmas colors.
So after the first of the year, and before spring, weddings need their own season name.
For lack of a better term, we called it January February.
Very clumsy.
But, whatever you call it, the favorite color scheme for the 7 we chose was this one:
Champagne/Blush Color Scheme.
Baby’s First Year: 3 Things Parents Need To Know
This post is an update of a post first written in 2018,
but the important things to know are still the same.
We also have a fun little poll on the post,
and we’d love to hear from your little family!
Valentine Mason Jar Recipes to Keep or To Share
We didn’t get gifts to our neighbors at Christmas or New Year’s
in spite of our big intentions.
So we made a couple of recipes-in-jars
that we think would be pandemic safe,
because they’ll be oven/stove sterilized.
We shared them with you, Taco Soup and Fudgy Nut Brownies:
12 Classroom Valentine Projects for Unique, Creative Fun
This post is a round up of 12 classroom art ideas because February is the love month.
It’s not just to celebrate Valentine’s day specifically,
but we think it’s good to have a time to remember to show others we care.
And doing projects with children, whether at school or home-schooling,
teaches awareness of the importance of deliberate acts of kindness.
Develop – Convey Strong Opinions: Your Voice Matters
Because of Covid we didn’t attend Church service last Sunday.
I took notes on my computer as we listened remotely,
first to a service in North Dakota, then to our own.
The minister at the first service spoke on the importance of having opinions,
and even more important,
having the ability to temper our opinions first with God,
then also with the people around us.
In other words, not come across as opinionated.
This is the art I doodled with watercolor clipart elements while listening:
We hope you enjoyed our week as much as we did!
(Yes, it truly was a good week!)
Now here’s some
Inklings and Inspiring Thoughts for your weekend
What do you do when your dog is smarter than you are?
This owner made a joke (and a video) of it, of course.
Our Inspiring Person this week
is the man who was brave enough to have
the first surgery ever for an artificial cornea transplant.
And the miracle happened.
He could see his family when they took the bandages off!
The surgery was done in Israel.
Where another man got to see his family when Jesus healed him with a miracle.
An Inspiring Book pick
is Ideals.
Remember when your mom (grandma) had a subscription to Ideals,
and got this gorgeous book,
one every season,
filled with poems and pictures and stories
and every page was a feast for the eyes and the soul?
Well, I just found out you can still buy them.
At least, there’s an Easter Ideals coming out this spring.
Makes my heart sing.
Inspiring us to live this weekend and onward
is this verse from the Word:
