‘Ink Re-cap 116 and Inspiring Inklings for the Weekend
‘Ink Re-Cap 116. We’ve had a fun week. We had something good for newlyweds, vintage recipe lovers, Valentine Card DIYers, and a pet-friends true story.
Arizona was good to us this week.
We got rain!
And they’re predicting more for the weekend.
That’s always special news in our low-desert country.
In other parts of the country the political people were going to inaugurations and wearing purple because our country in newly united. That’s good to hear, isn’t it?
All those blessings rubbed off on us, too, and we got a lot done. Kim made scrapbook pages, and other awesome stuff, (and this is a secret), but it’s stuff we’ll be showing you next week.

This week’s best:
Remember the Capitol Police Officer
who saved the Senate Chamber from a mob that infamous day in recent history?
He was invited to be one of Kamela Harris’s escorts at the inauguration
AND
he got a medal:
“Bipartisan lawmakers introduced legislation last week to award him with a Congressional Gold Medal.
“By putting his own life on the line and successfully, single-handedly leading insurrectionists away from the floor of the Senate Chamber, Officer Eugene Goodman performed his duty to protect Congress with distinction, and by his actions, Officer Goodman left an indelible mark on American history,” the legislation states.
The medal is reserved for people who’ve made “distinguished achievements and contributions” to America.”
Isn’t it great to have modern day heroes recognized?
One final inkling to share:
This was one of our daily verses this week,
and with the inauguration and the beginning of a new administration,
it seems appropriate.
“If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14.
