Honeybee Shelf Sitters
You can make shelf sitters two ways.
Adhere them to blocks of wood (we cut 2″ x 6″ x 6″ or 2″ x 2.5″ x 6″ blocks) or
buy blocky picture frames that can stand by themselves.
What you’ll need:

- The honeybee printables (sign up here and ask for “honeybee shelf sitter printables.”)
- 2″ x 6″ wood boards cut square or 2.5″ high (2″ x 6″ boards actually measure more like 1.75″ x 5.5″ so measure before you cut the squares) or
- Blocky picture frames in white or black. (There’s no short option with frames.)
- Mod Podge, 1″ foam brush, scissors or Exacto knife.
- Stain or paint for the wood blocks. I think we’ll make ours black.
How to make them:
- When you download the printables, trim them to the size of the wood, or the frame.
- If you use frames, you most likely know how to proceed.
- If you use wood blocks, we have a shelf-sitter tutorial here with the directions on adhering the paper to the wood blocks.
These fun and easy shelf sitters will get your nursery all matchy-matchy with hardly no time invested.
