Dollar Tree Epiphany: God Moves In Mysterious Places
Who would have thought Dollar Tree could produce an epiphany?
The answer is, God moves in mysterious ways and unusual places,
His wonders to perform.
What is your typical experience in Dollar Tree?
A bargain store teeming with a humanity appearing to live on meager resources, with faces showing that strain?
Then that stress trickles down to the little ones straggling along behind mama. A mama more intent on stretching her last few dollars before the next check arrives than keeping track of her little ones.
This scenario plays out in many places, not just Dollar Tree.
But in this story it is the scene of the epiphany that needed to happen to one person one day.
I read this story on social media. Shared many times before I found it, I have no idea who the original author is.
We do know it was a very wise person who acknowledged a truth God handed down that day.
Dollar Tree Epiphany
“
BROKEN AND FIXED!!
I was in Dollar Tree last night and there was a lady and two kids behind me in the LONG line.
One was a big kid, one was a toddler. The bigger one had a pack of glow sticks and the baby was screaming for them. So the Mom opened the pack and gave him one, which stopped his tears.
He walked around with it smiling, but then the bigger boy took it and the baby started screaming again.
Just as the Mom was about to fuss at the older child, he bent the glow stick and handed it back to the baby.
As we walked outside at the same time, the baby noticed the stick now glowed, and his brother said, “I had to break it so you could get the full effect from it.”
I almost ran because l could hear God saying to me, “I had to break you too just to show you why I created you. You had to go through it so you could fulfill your purpose.”
That little baby happily swung that “unbroken” glow stick around in the air without understanding what it was created to do, which was “glow.”
There are some people who will be content just “being” but some of us that God has chosen, we have to be “broken.”
We have to get sick. …have to lose a job. …go through divorce. We have to bury our spouse, parents, best friend, or our child because,
in those moments of desperation,
God is breaking us
but when the breaking is done,
then we will be able to see the reason for which we were created.
Thank you Lord for healing this child 💙

Is your heart thumping?
Mine is. And a breeze loaded with allergens is wafting through the room.
At least, my eyes are watering and my throat is tight.
It’s so beautiful when someone hears God speaking in mysterious ways and unusual places.
Praying we all experience a Dollar Tree epiphany at times.
