DIY Miniature Chocolate Books for A Mr. McGregor’s Garden Baby Shower
DIY Miniature Chocolate Books for Mr. McGregor’s Garden Baby Shower. Beatrix Potter’s Tales always enchant, and these tiny books add a bit of magic to baby’s welcome party.
As we spoke about in this post, Beatrix Potter’s Tales add nuggets of wisdom where you least expect it.
So what could be more appropriate than using Miniature Chocolate Nugget Bars to create tiny books that will impart magic to the Mr. McGregor’s Garden themed baby shower?
We’ll share the directions for making them, and then give you the tiny printable pages to “bind” into delectable books! Yep, they are meant to be part of the meal/snacks at the baby shower. Theme food like these carrot cupcakes. Beyond cute.
DIY Miniature Chocolate Books
Remember the old leather bound books of your childhood with gilded edges on the pages? (These days we likely only see that on Bibles.)
Well, you get that rich gilded edge on these tiny books. From the gold foil on the Hershey’s Nuggets!
Supplies:
- Hershey’s Nuggets chocolate bars
- Lightweight cardstock and printer paper
- Color printer
- Scissors, glue
- The printable pages you can download by filling out the form at the bottom of this page.
Directions:
- Download and print the book covers and pages. Print one copy of the covers, then print the book pages on both sides of the paper. Flip the page on the long side. The gold lines won’t match up perfectly, but when the books are folded and glued together, you will trim them straight.
- Cut 1 1/2″ x 2 3/8″ rectangles of cardstock for the book covers for as many books as you plan to make.
- Cover one side of the cardstock with the printable cover designs. Fold and glue the extra width and length to the “top” of the cardstock covers. These edges are hidden later by the little bars.
- Glue 2 miniature chocolate bars to each cover, side by side.
- Cut out and assemble the book pages in order. Carefully place glue just at the folds of the pages. After the books are assembled, trim them down at least 1/8″ all around to nicely fit the top of the Chocolate Miniatures. I cut off the page numbers completely. Now glue the blank front and back pages to the top of the chocolate bars. The pages curve around the top of the bars and look just like little books!
- Keep in a cool dry place until party time.

Make them with any of the classic book titles in the public domain, for any party theme.
(Although, I have to warn you, trying to figure out the page order for printing is challenging!)
