Delicious Christmas Coffee Recipe
This delicious Christmas Coffee Recipe contains only 7 non-artificial ingredients to give you a healthy version of this favorite hot, Holiday beverage.
Many years ago my sister gifted us with a jar of this Christmas Coffee, and I’ve been making it and passing it on ever since. One of my husband’s cousins says it’s not Christmas without a jar of this mix. Unfortunately, they moved to another state, so I can’t easily drop in and give them some.
But I do think you all will like it for its healthy choice possibilities. You know what’s going into it, and you can make organic choices for the ingredients.
How to make this Delicious Christmas Coffee Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup pure cane sugar or raw sugar
- 2 cups skim milk powder
- 2 cups chocolate milk powder (you can substitute Nesquik brand with 1 1/3 cup sugar, 2/3 cup baking cocoa powder, and 1/4 tsp. salt, to stay away from the artificial ingredients found in most store brands.)
- 1 cup instant coffee (Taster’s Choice, here.)
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 cup powdered creamer (soy nondairy creamer or almond milk creamer)
- 1 pkg. chocolate instant pudding powder
Directions:
- Mixing the Christmas Coffee recipe is super easy. Place everything in a large mixing bowl and whisk until everything is smooth and well incorporated.
- Sometimes the skim milk powder stays in largish granules. I like to put the mixture through the food processor or blender to get it as smooth as possible. The blender is also good if you’re using baking cocoa powder in place of cocoa drink mix. If it’s not super fine, it doesn’t dissolve as well, so blending really helps for this also.
- Don’t worry about instant coffee. It’s reported to have more antioxidants than brewed coffee.
- Divide the recipe into pint mason jars, and wrap with a festive ribbon around the neck.
- Download and print this tag to gift the mixture to family or friends. It makes a perfect neighbor gift.
