Colorful Fall Preschool Educational Printables
Today we have some fun for the littles left behind when the big sibs go back to school: colorful and educational Fall preschool printables.
Bring out a box of crayons and little kid scissors and you’re set for an hour or two of table time for your preschooler.
Four Preschool Educational Printables
Just download the four practice pages here.
There’s a page for
- Counting and Writing Practice
- Coloring Practice
- Scissors Practice
- Tracing Practice
They’re honing their motor skills while having fun with the tools their siblings use at real school.
In addition to the practice with tools, it’s an opportunity to teach about seasons and weather changes. Talk about plants and wild animals transitioning from summer to fall. If you have a garden, explain the end of the growing season and bringing in the harvest before the cold.
Perhaps your child is naturally curious and has a lot of questions, but in case he/she doesn’t, this is your chance to have these conversations.
Teach Good Preschool Skills
Kim gave my preschool glittle a couple of early education workbooks for her fifth birthday. They look just like her sister’s school workbooks, and she’s mighty proud to work in them.
However, her form is not that great. In fact, she has no clue how to shape numbers, or even trace along dotted lines.
So now, while she’s enthused, is a good time to sit down with her and make it a game to form good classroom habits. She’s never been to daycare or formal preschool. Her lively personality makes it hard to sit still or be quiet for any length of time.
Your child’s kindergarten teacher will thank you if your child knows the basics of school rules. Don’t make them sit for long times, but practice a little sitting still and working quietly every so often. Get an hourglass so they learn the literal passing of time.
