Winter Themed Baby Shower: Cozy Party Décor Ideas
Winter Themed Baby Shower.
We’ve got some cute and cozy party décor ideas for a cold weather party.
Some DIY and some to buy.
It’s time to celebrate the winter baby coming soon!
The title of this baby welcome is “Starry Nights.”
We’re thinking crisp, cold, still winter night.
Snow on the ground, snow on the branches and fence tops.
Aurora Borealis glowing in the northern sky,
adding to a star-spangled sky bright enough to light the world and reflect off the white powder coating.
Okay?
Let’s take this indoors, where it’s cozy and warm.
Winter Themed Baby Shower Décor Ideas
Let’s start with some inspiration pictures.
We want to go with blue, silver/gray and white for our colors.
Incorporate clear glass, snowflakes, sparkly branches and snowflakes, like in the following photo. This photo is over-the-top in our opinion, but it has some elements you can work into your theme.
We like the blue and silver colors. The blue up-lights create a cold night mood.
A DIY for this could be mason jars painted blue inside, with tea lights. Line these up on a mantel as in the fourth picture (instead of the gold as shown). Line them up on the eating tables as centerpieces, however, alternate the blue with silver painted jars. Another option is glitter blue and silver wrap, such as this.
The second picture brings in a snowflake idea. Hang bunches behind or above the food table. You can also scatter snowflake confetti on the eating tables. Snowflakes are easy to make yourself, although with little money invested.
We love the idea of using twigs or branches in the decor. Since we love glitter, we’d probably glam them up to advance the starry theme. Here is a great DIY showing you how.
These can be used as a back drop on the food table, on the gift table, or on a mantel as shown. Fresh greenery is a must, not only for the winter look, but also the heavenly smells. Spray it with snow to imitate the outdoor snow cover. And/or string the greenery with fairy lights.
You gotta have a Hot Cocoa Bar at a Winter Themed Baby Shower.
On a cold night, there’s no substitute for a mug of steam to warm your hands.
Make that steam hot cocoa from a table with masses of choices, such as these:
Touches we love: the white faux fur runner; the little fir tree; the bark wood circles. Also the blue sign and labels with snowflakes.
Instead of the hanging marshmallows (is that what they are?) we would do a bunch of snowflakes, glittered up with spray. Although, marshmallow “hanging snowballs” is definitely unique.

And now just a few random pictures for more inspiration, and also in case you need party favors, door prizes and more.
This last décor idea is a DIY branch “Fairy Forest” centerpiece, which can be found on Graphics Fairy blog.
So those are some ideas. We’ve left so many more percolating on the back burners of our minds, but we can’t show or tell everything here.
And we know you’ll come up with so many better ideas!
Have fun planning your Winter Themed Baby Shower.
And then tell us about your ideas.
