The Great Exodus Lesson 5: Two Pillars To Lead Them
God’s People finally escaped Pharaoh and slavery;
now they must find their way to the Promised Land
God’s people suffered a long time as slaves to Pharaoh. God asked Moses to lead His people to a free country, a country He would give them.
Moses and Aaron asked the Pharaoh of Egypt to let God’s people go. Moses warned Pharaoh if he didn’t let God’s people go, God would punish the whole country.
Pharaoh said “No,” and God sent plagues of water turned to blood, gazillions of flies, frogs everywhere. There were 10 awful plagues before the King let God’s people go.
God helped Moses guide the People to the Red Sea, then kept leading them each day with a Pillar of Cloud. At night, He sent a Pillar of Fire to comfort and guide them. Wherever the Pillars were, that’s where God was.
