How To Make A Peter Rabbit Outfit For Mr. McGregor’s Garden Baby Shower
You need to know how to make a Peter Rabbit outfit when you put on a Mr. McGregor’s Garden Baby Shower. Here’s the pattern for the twig stand, blue coat and little tam-o’-shanter hat.
We saw this lovely corner room box card by pixiehill.com and it became our inspiration.
In our Mr. McGregor’s Garden Baby Shower Ideas post, we suggest using potted plants or cuttings in pails to create a lush garden look. Add a picket fence, and you have a sweet setting for mommy-to-be to sit during her baby shower.
And Peter Rabbit’s outfit, which he lost while fleeing the scary Mr. McGregor, could be a cute addition to one of those pots.
So here’s how to make it all:
Peter Rabbit Coat and Hat Stand
Supplies:
- 2 straight-ish 1″ diameter branches, stripped of leaves: 1 – 3′ long, 1 – 2′ long
- jute twine
- hot glue gun and glue
Directions:
- If you don’t have a tree to harvest branches from, you could use wood dowels from the craft store.
- Mark the center of the 2′ long branch. Mark the 3′ branch 9″ from one end. Glue the 2′ branch across the longer branch at the marks.
- Cut a 3′ length of jute twine and wrap around the junction of the branches to form a tight connection.
- Poke the half ball onto the end of the 9″ section of the cross branches. This will keep the hat in place.
- Add the shirt to the cross branches and stick into a flower pot.
