Directions for the Personalized Bee Pillow Cover
Personalize and Sew the Bee Pillow Cover
Instructions
Personalize the Pillow Cover
- Press the 22" x 14" solid fabric smooth. This is the pillow cover front.
- Tape the printable pattern onto a work surface.
- Position and tape the pillow cover front on top of the pattern.
- Trace the pattern onto the fabric with the black fabric marker.
- Press according to the directions on your specific fabric marker to set the design.
Sew the Pillow Cover
- Press the two 14" x 14" back pillow cover pieces.
- Choose an edge on each piece to be the center back of the pillow. The grain of the fabric pieces should run the same way for front and back.
- Press a double 1/4" hem onto each of these center edges, to the back of fabric.
- Stitch the hems.
- Place pillow front piece on work surface, right side up.
- Place pillow backs on top of front piece, right side down. Hem sides should overlap each other about 6".
- Clamp (pin) all around the outside edges, and sew together with a straight 5/8" seam.
- Snip the corners on an angle, then turn pillow cover.
- Slip the pillow form inside the pillow cover through the overlapped back edges.
- Smooth, fluff, and decorate!
