10 Spring Chick Crafts Plus a Bonus Pop-Up Card DIY
10 Spring Chick Crafts
and a Bonus Pop Up Card
to enjoy making with your children.
Most are easy DIYs suitable for toddler age on up.
Last Sunday morning a 3 year old boy and his grandma sat next to me in the pew.
“We got baby chicks!” he told me excitedly.
“You have baby goats?” I misunderstood his lisp. I knew they had goats in their backyard.
“No,” he said. And repeated himself.
I had to look at Grandma to interpret.
We happened to share a meal with their family this week,
and once more he announced his news.
This time I understood, and we had a conversation about his new pets.
Well, I think we did.
We talked back and forth, but I’m not sure I know what all he was saying.
Spring Chick Crafts Collection
So chicks and springtime go together like bunnies and spring.
And they’re so cute when they’re still yellow and fluffy.
We collected links to a variety of baby chick projects any child will enjoy:
Chicks just the right size for American Girl Dolls
Tutorial by americangirlfan.com
These are so cute and realistic looking. All you need is 3 pompoms per chick, googly eyes, and orange felt.
Handmade PomPoms Chick
Tutorial by onelittleproject.com
These chicks are really cute also, but instead of buying the pompoms you make them from yellow yarn.
Tissue Paper Chick Craft
Tutorial by gluedtomycraftsblog.com
The only thing about this craft I would change: Wrap the tissue pieces around the end of a pencil, and glue the flat part to the paper. Then the flaps of paper that stand up will make the chick look fluffier.
Fluffy Chenille Ribbon Chick
Tutorial by bluebearwood.co.uk
I think these are my favorite.
Baby Chick Bookmarks
Tutorial by redtedart.com
These origami style paper chicks slip over the corner of a page to keep your place in a book.

Painted Rock Chicks
Tutorial by craftsbyamanda.com.
The other day my littlest g’little came to me holding a smooth round little rock. Her sisters and I had painted rocks to look like ladybugs and she loved the feel and looks of it. So I know painted chick rocks will be a hit with the littles, too.
