God Created the Light

 

“
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
And God saw the light, that it was good:
God divided the light from the darkness. 
And God called the light Day,
and the darkness he called Night.
The evening and the morning were the first day.
“
Genesis 3-5

 

Before God created Light,

this is how the universe looked:

Then God created the Heaven and the Earth

but the Earth was without form and void,

and it looked like this:

It was still dark.

God was the only Light.

There was no sun or moon.

There was no day or night.

So God decided to create light for the Earth.

He called the light “day” and the darkness He called “night.”

But the earth was still void.

There was no land divided from water. It was all mixed up.

This light God created was not the sun. It was a light only He could shine,

different from the sun.

Nobody

not your mom or your dad

your grandparents or your schoolteacher

knows exactly how God created light and dark.

We will not know until God wants us to know.

We only know that God did it

and then God said it was good.

Because God had more things planned that He wanted to create after this first day,

and these things would need the cycle of light and dark,

and also the changing from day to night.

So that was His plan for the beginning, when He created the Heaven and the Earth,

and for the first day, when He created Light.
