Beatrix Potter Baby Shower Games: Revisit the Classic Books. Match titles or fill in the blanks of excerpts from the famous vintage books for fun party activity.

Kim’s Baby Book had a Beatrix Potter theme, and several baby gifts also had that theme (yep, 31 years ago. But it seems like yesterday. Or the day before!). Little books she loved to carry around, a large Collection of Beatrix Potter Tales that stayed on our mantel. And of course, the ubiquitous stuffed animals. Our house overflowed with stuffed animals in those days.

So you can see our enthusiasm for Beatrix Potter’s stories goes back a long ways.

Last week we were super excited about Mr. McGregor’s Garden Baby Shower ideas and décor and treats.

Today, we’re showing you a couple of versions of a game we put together to go with that theme.

One game refers to Mr. McGregor’s Garden specifically, and the other game references many of Beatrix Potter’s books.

Either way, it’s a fun pencil game. (And if you need pencils, we have glitzy pencils right here to glam up your party.)

Mr. McGregor’s Garden Baby Shower Game

This one is all about Benjamin Bunny taking his cousin Peter back to Mr. McGregor’s garden after Peter’s big scare. They run into one frightening thing after another. Peter wishes it would rain so they didn’t have to go; then his mother asks Cottontail to fetch some more camomile since Peter said he was under the weather.

This of course cures Peter instantly, and he thinks a walk will be good for him. So off they go to the forbidden garden with the memories of his last visit.

It’s fun to see how much you can remember of that tale you read so many times long ago. (Or are reading to your littles these days.)

Beatrix Potter Baby Shower Game

This game will really get your brain working. You have to remember the titles of 10 or Beatrix Potter’s books.

Did you remember she had that many? Actually, she has even more, and you can find them all online here, to read free, or download and print for your everyday enjoyment.  All her works are public domain, which is a huge storehouse of awesomeness.
