Apothecary Bottle Label DIY: Name Your Dispensers
Apothecary Bottle Label DIY:
Create the vinyl sticker designs to name your kitchen dispensers.
A Cricut Design Space tutorial.
We love our made-from-scratch lotions and soaps
using Young Living essential oils for scent and cleaning power.
And we love using the old-fashioned brown apothecary bottles to dispense the home-made cleaners.
So today we’re going to do a Cricut Design Space tutorial
showing you how we create vinyl sticker labels for the bottles.

Supplies:
- Brown Apothecary bottles for liquid dispensing
- Stainless shakers for powdered cleanser
- Brown Apothecary jars for spray dispensers
- Permanent waterproof vinyl in white or black
- Cricut machine and accessories
Cricut Design Space Directions:
- The square pump dispenser bottles have about a 4″ x 3″ flat area to attach a label. Measure the available areas for all your containers and create labels accordingly.
- Open a font of your choice, we’re using a system font called Brush Script. We want to attach the label on the right edge of one flat side of the bottle, in a vertical position. So the length of the label has to stay under 4″ to fit nicely.
- Let’s make a “Dish Soap” and “Lotion” label for the square bottles.
- We’ll make “Room Spray” and “Cleaner” labels for the spray dispensers.
- And then, “Cleanser” for the stainless shaker.
- Choose “basic cut” for the labels.
- Save your project.
- Load the vinyl and cut using the directions on the package of vinyl. Thicker vinyl is harder to “kiss cut” so you may need to experiment with the knife depth.
- Cut all the labels apart, weed, and attach to transfer vinyl.
- Position on containers and peel.

The best part of the labels is knowing you’ll have “green” and safe cleaners inside the bottles.
