This morning I awoke thinking about my friend who is going through a hard, hard place. So I knew I wanted to make a card for her.  I hadn’t thought of what it would say, but I knew this card would have a feather painting on it.  Unusual for me to be so certain about that, since I had never painted a feather before! I looked at watercolor feather pictures for inspiration, then found a feather tutorial. Could I? Was I foolish to try a new thing for a card that needed to convey a heart-heaping-full of comfort?

Then, the feather kind of painted itself. And my hands merely followed instructions that came from Somewhere beyond me.

Then sometimes the tears flowed as I painted, for this friend going through a very difficult time. The tears are represented by the shimmer on this card, especially designed for her.

Card Front ~ Luminart shimmer watercolor original painting by Dorothy Ensz. The turquoise and green feather stands out on the heavy watercolor paper.  Then a Bible Verse, Psalm 91:4, is printed in turquoise on the lower right corner.  “He will cover you with His feathers.”
Card Inside ~ Blank inside for your own message of comfort to your hurting loved one.
Size ~ 6″ x 6″ card, with a top fold.
Envelope ~ Creamy white envelope, a nice complement to the card.
